Bio-Hazard Remediation
"Rodent Excrement, Carcass Removal, & Decontamination"
Bats, mice, rats, and skunks are some examples of animals that can cause severe
damage to a building. Excrement poses significant health risks to humans and must be handled by trained personnel that are wearing the proper Personal Protective Equipment (P.P.E.). The first step after safety precautions have been addressed is to remove the source of the contamination which would be carcasses, excrement, and/or dander. The cleaning process involves scraping, wire brushing, power washing, or sometimes vacuuming with a "hepa" filtered vacuum. Once the contamination is removed, the deodorization process is started by sealing all of the affected areas, the use of an ozone gas, or the use of other odor counteractants. The final step is to rebuild or repair the structure as necessary.
