Unless and until we’ve figured out a way to create totally artificial ones to create the super-brain babies capable of telekinesis that we all hope to have, it’s still the case that women are going to need to become pregnant. And because they’ve agreed to propagate the species, they’ve also agreed to allow their formally-svelte bodies to turn into something else. Fortunately, they all know the secret; during pregnancy, use fashion to avoid being frumpy.

Guys should think for a few minutes, if they can rip themselves away from the latest mixed martial arts cage match on the boob tube, on how something as simple as maternity wear can affect a woman’s self-image. Just a week ago, she was running around in a super-skinny pair of jeans and now she’s having trouble fitting into a canvas sack. Fortunately, top designers have been coming to the rescue lately, fortunately for the men who got them in that position.

Women and pregnancy have a long history with each other. Some may say that it’s far longer than just about anything else related to humans, especially when it comes to the affection a woman loses for the man who got her that way at one point or another during the pregnancy. So it’s up to guys to help support those women or they’re in danger of imminent doom when the hormones start rumbling.

That’s where taking the mother-to-be by the hand and going with her while she looks for good-looking things to wear while being pregnant is crucial. After all, getting hit in the head with a television remote, after putting her in the state she’s in and then refusing to help her find a few pieces of clothing that’ll help her look good, isn’t where most men should want to be.

Maybe she wants a comfortable pair of leather brown boots. Well, it’s going to be the man’s job to get out there, earn the money and humbly accompany her through the 30 or 40 shoe stores that’s going to be visited in an attempt to find just the right pair of walking around accessories. And that’s a small price to pay after she’s agreed to become a bit ‘large’ on a man’s behalf.

Once she’s found the right pair of boots, slip away for a few minutes — taking care to avoid the electronics store where that new big-screen TV is on display — and maybe buy her something nice to go with those boots, perhaps a matching leather watch strap. It’s certainly an easy way to get out of the doghouse that has been like a second home since she became pregnant, correct?

There’s really no great and obscure secret to a man helping his lady get through her pregnancy and the thought of possibly becoming frumpy because of it. Bow down before her — especially in gratitude that she’s agreed to become so pregnant — and admit to her that her wisdom is without compare and all should be right in the universe, once that doghouse has been cleaned out, of course.
