Bowl Glass
What type of bowl do you need to make a double boiler?
With a pot and a bowl. What type of bowl; glass, plastic, or something else?
A glass oven safe bowl such as Pyrex.A metal bowl may get too hot,depending on what you are using the double boiler for.If it is being used with something with egg whites the metal bowl will get to hot.Almost anything else will be fine with a metal bowl.Make sure the water in the bottom pot DOES NOT touch the bowl.The water needs to be about 2 inches below the bowl.
