Sometimes she dreamed
Of another universe, one opposite to
The one she lived in. And she sincerely wished
That she could go there.

To the place where the sun always shined
Where the sky was always blue
And where the birds kept on chirping
And dreams come true.

Where there were edible clouds
That tasted like sugar
And you could always see a rainbow
And behind it, there really was a pot of gold.

Where the trees were filled of candy
And a beautiful cream-colored ship
Dominated the azure sea. And mermaids
Sat on the rocks, singing.

And at night, when the sky was dark
You could see clear gold stars
And the beautiful moon
And unicorns come out to play

Sometimes she dreamed of a universe
A space where she would be happy
And then she would wake up
And smile, and wish it were real.
