I have a 2 – 2.5 gallon jug – What fish should i put in there?
Well i wanted to get another tank – but i have an animal cracker jar thats atleast 2 gallons that i would want to use. The opening at the top is wide enough for a syphon and thats what i was worried about. Now – i have a junior heater that was origionally in my 2.5 gallon , but my betta died and i now put white clouds in there. I was thinking about getting another betta..or maybe a trio of white clouds…Thing is, idk what filter i should get..If i get a betta, I dont want to use a sponge filter because the current of the bubbles would be strong..please dont tell me NOTHING can go in there because i have a 2.5 gallon with 3 white clouds and a snail and they are VERY happy. They are even breeding in there and theres about 7 babies..So dont tell me they arent happy – i know how to take care of my fish and i actually put in time for them. What should i get?
A betta is the only fish that would survive in that jug. The plastic on those containers won’t fare too well with a heater. Sponge filters do well for betta and you could find one that will work just fine. Your challenge will be heating the jug. Bettas are tropical and need warmer than room temp water in order to thrive. A 7.5w heater is the right size but I’d be concerned about it melting the plastic.
