is depression URGENT as far as mental health services?

my school has a terrible mental health services, because they take about 2 weeks before they fit you in, ive had friends who told me the same. i have yet to be there, but clearly, without going into detail, i am sure i have depression. clear cut, all the symptoms. and have had 3 “episodes” lasting about 2 weeks at a time within the last few months, and other times, its just been getting worse and worse, even when im not having an episode. but i called finally and made an appointment. they dont ask for what, just told me if it was an emergency to call the emergency number, and my appt would be in 2 weeks. but im not suicidal, its not an emergency, but if i went in and said it was important that i needed to talk to someone SOON, would this depression be a good enough reason you think? or will they just kind of be mad that i said it was urgent.. i dont know, is dperession urgent? technically ive been living with it for months?

If you think it is urgent then it is urgent, don’t take chances with your health. Insist that you need to talk. Remember they are there to help you!
