Shaman Build – The Shaman’s Builds
Each Shaman build presents the roles and the abilities the class generally has. The Shaman builds are divided into three, each creating a specialized character which specialized talents.
{The Elemental Shaman}
The Elemental Shaman is the usual way to roll if you are a ‘hybrid’ player who wants to make the most out of your Shaman. This is because the Elemental build opens up the two other talent trees of the class, allowing for perfect synergy between builds.
This is also the way to go if you are creating an excellent DPS caster. Although far from being a melee fighter, the elemental shaman is perfect as a fighter that deals offensive attacks from a distance. Among the handful talents of this build, the most useful for the Elemental Shamans are the Elemental Mystery which allows the casting of massively damaging spells, and the Thunderstorms which allows Shamans to send foes to the ground.
{The Enhancement Shaman}
The elemental build if the build of choice for players who are after leveling; it receives extra boost on melee damage, healing talents and efficiency in the use of mana. This is also the build typically chosen by PvP Shamans since this build has the appropriate talents for dealing massive damage. In fact, the Enhancement Shaman can dual-wield, placing it at the top of the best damage dealers in WoW. Next only to the Fury Warriors and Rogues. Some of the best talents in this build that are useful in dealing massive blows to opponents are the Thundering Strikes and the Stormstrike.
{The Restoration Shaman}
Shamans are, by nature, healers, but the Restoration Shamans max out the healing capabilities of this class. It is not a very popular choice, however, if you are creating a healer for raiding and PvP.
As the healing build, the Restoration Shaman can call on the strength and powers of the Chain Heal, which is arguably the best multi-target heal in WoW, the Mana Tide and of course, Nature’s Swiftness. Although it may not be geared towards soloing, it is, nevertheless, a performer in 5-man PvP and raiding parties.
All in all, this class is an excellent spell-casting class that is distinct in their capability to wield totems. This also makes for an excellent class for melee attacks and attacks sent from a distance.
For those who want to have a character that’s great at healing, this is also the way to roll. In combination with good tank specs, this Shaman build develops into a formidable foe and a very useful ally.
No matter the Shaman build, the Shaman is geared towards what many players call the jack-of-all-trades, master of none class. They can wield very damaging spells within melee and wider ranges, they can cast solid damage spells, and they can also call on the powers of the elements to heal their allies.
