What the behind of the magic that makes frosted glass(opaque) transparent when an adhesive tape surrounded it!?
An acidly scratched glasses have an opaque appearance, however, if the glass covered with a transparent nylon or any kind of things such as non-colored adhesive tapes, it becomes transparent. Why?
Frosted glass is opaque because the surface is rough. The very slight roughness scatters the light waves that normally pass through the glass. This scattering is what causes the opaqueness.
Putting tape (or even just plain water) on the glass can cover up or smooth over the roughness, thereby making it a smooth surface again. As a smooth surface, the light doesn’t get scattered so it passes though and is “clear” again.

By filling in the gaps, the covering makes a smooth surface and the light passes through better – thus no “frosting”.
