Red Carnival Glass
Ruby Red Carnival Glass?
I have a ruby red carnival glass dish. It is shaped similar to a “banana boat” dish, with two sides pulled up, but does not have ruffled edges. It also has no maker mark on it. The circular base of it looks like a many-petaled flower or star burst. Eight large petals come out from this, going up the sides of the dish. I have searched everywhere on carnival glass sites and guides, but can find no dish shaped the same or with the same pattern. The only information I can find is that Fenton made the vast majority of red carnival glass between the years of 1907 and 1925, and that they initially did not mark their glassware. Can anyone possibly help me identify this dish as authentic carnival glass?
carnival is the important word here, they were cheap give aways, prizes, or sold is five and dimes stores, most carnival glass has that rainbow sheen look
